Why are our bottles blue?
All of our oils are specifically sold in blue-colored glass bottles. These bottles are ideal for storing essential oils since they are especially designed to with stand certain levels of UV contamination, thus being the ideal storage solution for light sensitive compounds.
The bottles come with small necks that minimizes the amount of air going into the bottle to preserve the potency of your product. The dropper is ideal to prevent spillage and loss of your product, while at the same time providing a convenient way to get the right amount of your oil for use on your body.
The sun’s UV rays increase oil temperatures and cause deterioration to the quality of oils. Therefore, storing pure essential oils in a coloured glass container is highly recommended. Coloured containers like cobalt blue reflect the sun’s rays and protect the oils when stored.
Proper essential oil storage can drastically protect and prolong the shelf life of your oils. Although essential oils do not become rancid, they do oxidize, deteriorate and lose their beneficial therapeutic properties over time.
